CCA President, Bob Lowe, elected as Vice President of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef

Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) President, Bob Lowe, has been elected to serve as Vice President of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef (GRSB).

The CCA joined the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef in 2012, aligning on shared goals to advance and improve the sustainability of the beef value chain. GRSB consists of a diverse member base that includes producer groups, processers, retailers and environmental organizations.

The CCA is pleased to see Bob Lowe continue his leadership of the beef industry on a global scale through his new role as GRSB Vice President. Lowe is part of a long line of ranchers that came to Alberta in the late 1800’s and continues that legacy with a feedlot operation based in Nanton, Alberta and a cow-calf operation in Eriksdale, Manitoba. He is an outspoken advocate for sharing information about raising cattle, feedlots and best management practices, and promotes the understanding of the stewardship and conservation that is inherent in sustainable beef production. With two children, three grandchildren, and partner Trish Vachon, Lowe has a strong focus on farming for the future generations.

Earlier in December 2021, the CCA was also pleased to be re-elected to the GRSB Board of Directors where we look forward to working together with members to further progress international beef sustainability goals.
