After two years of virtual meetings, we were pleased to be back on Parliament Hill on May 3, 2022, with Maritime beef producers including members from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Our advocacy priorities focused on climate change and sustainability, economic resiliency programs including the Eastern Livestock Price Insurance Program, Front of Pack labelling, and the ongoing trade negotiations between Canada and the United Kingdom.
It was great to meet in person and build our advocacy momentum face-to-face—setting the stage for summer tours with Parliamentarians on beef farms and ranches across Canada.
