McDonald’s Canada expands its commitment to beef sustainability

Certified Sustainable beef sourcing now featured in Quarter Pounder® line of burgers

If you watched television last week, you may have seen a new McDonald’s Canada ad highlighting sustainable beef sourcing in their Quarter Pounder line of burgers. That’s right, McDonald’s Canada is again showing its commitment to Canadian beef farmers and sustainability, and is now sourcing at least 30 per cent of the beef for its Quarter Pounder line-up from CRSB Certified Sustainable farms and ranches. Originally announced at the Canadian Beef Industry Virtual Conference (CBIC) this summer, an ad campaign, supported by a full-scale marketing campaign launched last week, will air through the end of December. If you visit any McDonald’s Canada location, you should now see “Supporting Beef Sustainability” right on the Quarter Pounder burger boxes, with the CRSB Certified logo, in-store signage, billboards and more. The campaign features a giant animated billboard in downtown Toronto.

Stay tuned for more in the coming weeks promoting McDonald’s support of beef sustainability and Canadian beef farmers, and a coupon mailer coming in January to every household in Canada.

Join us in appreciating McDonald’s for their continued support for Canadian beef!
